Your Provider
Mikahla is deeply committed to fostering resilience and healing in individuals, families, and communities grappling with anxiety, depression, and trauma. With over 20 years of experience as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), and a member of the National Board of Certified Counselors, she currently offers a range of psychotherapy services. Her expertise is in evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and the Gottman method. She also integrates mindfulness-based somatic modalities and trauma-informed practices to facilitate change and hope for your unique journey.
In a Hopi creation story that inspired her, Emergence is the moment of coming into a newly created world to have an opportunity to thrive. She believes strongly in the possibility of change and in the hope it inspires. Through understanding, storytelling, connection, skill-building, and practice you can emerge and thrive.
In addition to Psychotherapy, Mikahla is a licensed continuing education provider and clinical supervisor, and helps advance trauma-informed care through agency and staff training.
