Service Description

Objectives for Trauma-Informed Care: For individuals and organizations To realize the prevalence and impact of trauma To recognize signs and symptoms of trauma To respond by integrating best practices and procedures To resist re-traumatization To reduce secondary traumatic stress and vicarious trauma Description This course is designed as a broad overview of best practices in implementing the five principles of Trauma-Informed Care outlined by SAMHSA, including safety, choice, collaboration, trustworthiness, and empowerment. Participants will leave the course with both a deeper theoretical understanding of the impacts of trauma and specific strategies to integrate into their current practices.
